Description
Another image I created for Spiral Game Studios. The game - Dino Beatdown. This image is not available for use by anyone else.All done in Photoshop as usual, using my trusty Wacom tablet and iMac.
The world map is called Eden.

This image took about 4 days to complete (including revisions). The cost for a similar image would be about £400 ($640).

Very fine work on the tall grass and energy effects. I also like how you did the cliff face.

Brilliant - thanks Yeo. I spent quite a lot of time on those elements as they were initially too un-detailed. It's quite a trick to make sure there isn't too much detail in the background compared to the foreground.

Art is an endless learning process - you can learn to solve one problem but there are always more I guess. The fundamentals seem to go on ans on.

Pretty awesome work, I love the detail, the way you had the plants blur and block a bit of the picture makes it look so much more real~ Though the lineart is a tad sketchy

Thanks Shak - I like the forground blur as it helps to frame the picture and add depth. Yes, the lines are quite loose but the time constraints for the work wouldn't allow for much fine-tuning. Concept art always has to be done so quick for clients. They want it done in hours often.
