Description
This is how I plan the pages of my book, Worldview.
I sketch out a rough idea as quickly as possible, then integrate dummy text boxes, so as to try and form a basic composition. I keep the text as basic as possible at this stage, so I don't get bogged down and obsessed with it all.
I have to bare in mind the centre of the image, as this is where the 2 pages converge. So, I make sure nothing too important gets lost in that region.
At this point, I leave the image as it is. Once I have enough spreads laid out, I can return to them and begin detailing the graphics, as well as inserting all the relevant text and backstory.
This method saves so much time, as ideas change and there's no point spending ages on something that might be discarded or become irrelevant.
Total time on this particular concept was about 2 hours.
