Thanks Dark - believe me, I have to practive 16 hours a day, as it's still a lot of hard work. I stick to environments, as everything else i.e. humans and animals are way too difficult at the moment. I have to rely on photo's to paint over.

No - but I should, because it would speed up my work a bit. A lot of artists do use 3d programs to block in basic shapes. I have been too lazy to learn...

Oh I used a 3D Programm at my University and it makes a lot of fun!
If you have a idea of three-dimensionality, then you would have a lot of fun, I'm sure.
But you are right it needs a lot of time to learn it! My first steps are more like, how can I built furnitures.
But I also try to make Towers and big bilduings, but I lost a lot of details, because I'm only on the beginning.
Would you say its cheeting to use it for 2D Pictures?
I mean you didn't need to think of the Perspektiv and the background. You only need to set light and work it out.
It would be easier, but a lot of artists are insults, if others use those Programms to help themselfs.
I think its a really difficult conflict. I think a lot of those, who are against those 'helps', didn't know how difficult it is to command such a 3D Programm. (This disscussion remember me on digital art or traditional?)
But yes, it is a kind of manipulation for the viewer, because, they couldn't see if it is worked with other programms or only brushes. On this side I can understand the oponent.
What do you think? I mean you work every day in this world.
