Description My first screenshot ever of my recent addition to the computing family here at home; the Apple PowerBook 17" that I purchased second-hand from a co-worker of mine.

I am still entirely new to this whole OS X thing and feel like a complete n00b although it does seem that the barrier to understanding the OS is far easier than Windows. Do not know if that is a psychological thing or not.

Anyhow, the IM app is Adium and I used CandyBar to modify the icons. Any tips that anyone has would be greatly appreciated!

Whats up with ya icon in your dock? They all look different.. (My safari icon doesn't look like that).
Wow, amazed. Allmost no icons on desktop o-o!
God, you should see my step-dad's computer.. half his screen is invaded with icons....

Ahh, but Adium doesn't have the same developer community as Miranda ...or at least i don't think it has. If there was ever a windows port of Adium, i'd most likely switch to it.

i could, in all honesty, care less about the developer community. adium has hella addons for it and that, along with the awesome application that it is, makes it 0wn.

Personal preferences aside, i think you 0wn. The fact that you've replied to this comment, makes me more than happy. Your Message Center must be bulgeing at the moment (and my comments aren't helping). I'd dread to think how many message center items you currently have. As far as i can see, you're replying to each and every comment. You haven't let 1 person down! Big for that. That's one of the many reasons why doesn't deserve to rule the roost. He never made time for people who weren't part of the administration/staff.

Anyway, i'm sure you've heard enough of this over the past few days. Again, It was nice that you made time for me. Much appreciated.

But your drives are on the left side... on OSX they'e on the right!

Not that it's a relaly big deal; You can put your drives wherever the heck you wanna.

Good that you got a Mac. I have a 15" PowerBook . To customize the menu bar, hold Command (? Key) and click and drag them into the order you wish. You can also remove them by holding the command key and draggin them off. You might know this, I'm just saying cause you have a lot (11 by my count) and it is using a lot of menu bar space. Power to the Mac and Jark!

Aww...it reminds me of mine! Only..mine is a 12" iBook. But I still it like crazy, 'cause, well..it's a laptop.

But yeah..it was kinda strange going from Windows to Mac..but I think that maybe..just maybe I like my Mac better. Except for the part where no one makes any software for it...

Oo, perdy Adium skin. Not used it for a while, I defected to Fire with the release of Tiger

Never a fan of iChat either.. Couldn't get to grips with it. Funky wallpaper/background/whatever you want to call it.

Also. Screw you! For having a powerbook I wanted one, bu that damn price is just.. too much like wallet rape for me to handle at the moment

hi, I'm only curious to know where you got this wallpaper its amazing, I fascinated by astrophysics and cosmology and I have never found any wallpaper that look that good.
are you an american in japan? I'm a canadian and I'll be going to japan for 6 months soon. I hope I'll like it.

Not really a tip but I gotta say, that's a kickass wallpaper you have . I screwed up the privelages on my old mac so i couldn't do anything as sexy as that .
