the both statues in the background reminds me a little bit of a scene in the movie "Neverending story" (dt. Die Unendliche Geschichte" from Michael Ende)
There was a young guy who have to pass this gate. But thats not so easy because these two statues (in the movie the called "Oracles") will kill everybody whos trying to pass without a clean heart and a free mind.
