I've made a few improvements. Thanks to Tank-Eater for the advice regarding the slide and barrel; they've been enlarged, fixing the scale issues I've been having. Also, I added a couple more grooves to the slide grip, and lengthened the barrel to accept a silencer. I couldn't get the threaded look to work, so I added "nano-clamp ports" to the barrel. Instead of screwing on a silencer, it just "snaps" into place. I plan on uploading images of the AL-45 w/ suppressor, and a holstered version soon.

I love the idea of a grip guard that covers thw whole hand, as you've done. Only issues I could think of are that even though it's only a .45, your barrell appears to be a bit thin. You should make the top barrel a bit fatter to give it the very macho sort of look that the rest of the design gives it.
Other than that, the only thing I can think of is your description is incorrect. No way in hell could that be used as a Long Range Special Purpose Sniper Rifle. ;D
But yeah. Very nice. Keep up the good work.

Oops. Yeah, the handguard was inspired by the M6D from Halo and the stun guns/lasers froom SeaQuest DSV. I think mine looks cooler with the trigger guard added. I do need to to some scale work on the the slide area, but it's pretty much in its final form. Thanks for your feedback. I'll probably be uploading my assault rifle, carbine, and SMR designs next. They still have some scale issues (mainly the barrel). Again, I really appreciate the feedback. These designs have taken years to finalize, so its nice that someone likes them.
