as much as i appreciate the comment, this is a very old design for Rider.
I am much happier with how she is now than any of my previous renditions of her, I purposefully put her up on Terrible Ponies and I am fine with the criticism, not everyone has to like her, but I love her.

You're welcome. Well, I'm a sucker for old and new designs about characters. I love them both. For example, Twilight Sparkle. I like her as an alicorn but I like her too when she's an unicorn. I love them equally.

It's sad that people made fun of this. Yes, I love how you've redesigned Rider and fleshed out her character and story, and really improved her overall, Β but this version of her was also a wonderful design, and you had a great artstyle to back it up. They had no reason to give you the shit they did back then

I never actually hated her design as an alicorn to be honest, I still like it very much.
I just couldn't deal with the hate and backlash I got for it.

Well originally Rider here was a black and white alicorn dj-pon3 recolor who was more powerful than the princesses and her rage was legendary and could wipe out cities with a thought and was the one who freed Nightmare Moon etc.
I was in a dark place...

It was bad
Now the most "traumatic" incident that happened to her is that while her and her husband were arguing over stupid crap her daughter wandered off and drowned in the river behind their house.
But even then it's not "bad" because it led to them becoming closer and caring for each other more and becoming very over protective and loving to their second daughter. I.e lots of snuggle times.

I really liked her as an Alicorn. I don't care about the people who go like "Oh it's another f-yay-ing Alicorn OC. I bet it's OP as F-yay."
But I'm not with them. I like her. The colours contrast nicely and is a very nice colour palette and I LOVE The gradient and how subtle it is.. All in all I still like her as a unicorn. But it was fun when she was an alicorn. I still love the demeanour that just EMANATES when she is drawn. Like she'll just murder you where you stand. Β Just sometimes I see her shoes are curved when her hind legs are bent. Is that part of your style or is it some special bending metal or....iunno. Still an amazing OC and is on my top OC list....Which I should make sooner or later.Β
