Lantern was adopted from ~Yeliah-Kitten (Her Flame Form was designed by me however)
Frost Byte was a custom by ~wolfieraver

Lantern and Frost Byte are in a forbidden relationship do to their kind being constantly at war with each other.
Frost Byte is an ice pony (Ice Elemental) while Lantern is a fire pony (Fire Elemental) They met while in the guise of normal ponies and without knowing each others race became close friends than fell in love. However over time Lantern noticed when around Frost Byte she felt her internal fire core go exceedingly cold and her natural flame powers would die out (Signs of dying) while Frost Byte noticed he would become exceedingly warm and suffer the symptoms his kind feels when extreme heat such as a cracked horn splintered vision and loss of his frost magic (These are also signs the pony is dying)
Fearing the other half was not what they expected both confessed their true selves to each others but each refused to part ways and never see each other again. Despite the risk of death or worse they continue to be together and to actually try to build an immunity to each others element Lantern will go to colder areas and try to extend the amount of time she can last in below freezing temperatures while Frost Byte will do the same but in exceedingly hot areas.
