Here's another forgotten weird super hero from the past: Captain Hadacol!He's a pretty typical pitchman super hero. When he ingests his product of choice, in this case the vitamin tonic Hadacol , he gains superpowers. Though what makes him so weird is the product in question. Along with your recommended daily dose of Vitamin A, Hadacol was noted for it's 12% alcohol content and was heavily marketed in dry portions of America in the 1950's.
So it's real hard not to visualize Captain Hadacol today as some kind of super powered alcoholic.

So Captain Hadacol was created to "unintentionally" sell booze to both adults and kids.
