Oh Spock, why do I beat you up so much? I'm sorry. Oh well, Kirk will make it all better for you.
Those hands were hard. Probably wont be doing them again in a hurry.
SoooOOOOoooooo. I downloaded SAI today.
I drew this using the ' pen ink tool', which was actually pretty damn good; it was a lot easier to use than the ink tool on GIMP (which I usually use), however I'm still not too sure of it......I know I'm obviously gonna struggle a bit on my first ever try, but it did seem quite fiddly, AND, I was having a problem where even if my tablet pen wasn't touching the board the brush just kept randomly dotting around the place and making it look like a catapilar went for a dump all over my picture, AND it wasn't letting me undo a lot of things, which was a bit of a hassle, but it wasn't too bad. I would appreciate any advise though? Pwetty pwease?
So, anyway, please tell me what you think of this (and possibly any improvements to make?) and I will colour it another day, but feel free to colour it anyone else (download for full size)!!

You're getting way better at hands! Um, my only advice would be Spock's right eyebrow's missing, and his right eye looks a little higher than the left. Pull that down, at the 'brow, and I think you're golden.

XD That's okay, that happens to me all the time, too. The best way to continue working on a piece, after you've been looking at it too long, is to flip it so you're looking at its mirror-copy. You start noticing a lot of mistakes you overlooked the first time.
As for the edits: Yay! It looks better, even just with some of those little changes. So, are you gonna color it?

I didn't think of it either, but it seems back when manga was flipped for American audiences, that's how the artists had to work so it would look right both in the original version and in the flipped version. So, now we apply that to today. Yay!

Yeah, same. It becomes really obvious especially when you're working in a sketch book. The picture looks great, you turn the page, and on the back it looks terrible. Yeah, I don't like flipping the pictures that look good...

That's like the opposite of me; I always want to draw but colouring stuff in is the bit that's the chore.

I like the initial drawing, but the inking's tedious. The coloring is more fun to jump to. (Although, sometimes inking's really fun. I dunno, it's sorta a, "I'm I in the mood for it?) Of course, all this said, I'm better at inking then coloring. (FAIL)

AAAHHHHH. That might explain it then; I like the inking the best, BUT I pretty much go straight onto inking (I don't tend to draw first......so the inking and the drawing is the same thing when I do it).

I sometimes draw with a pen, which is similar to jumping straight into the inking, but I still tend to sketch in guidelines to keep everything in proportion.
XD Yeah, that's when you guys just get line arts from me. (Though usually that's 'cuz I finish the LA at 4 in the morning, and don't want to stay up 3 more hours coloring.)
