Description Here's something a little out of the ordinary! It's my half of an art trade with , who wanted to see my interpretation of some creatures from Bruno Bozzetto's 1977 film Allegro Non Troppo, which, if you've never seen it, is basically the Italian version of Fantasia. These strange critters come from the "Bolero" segment, a piece of animation that details the evolution of alien animals born from a discarded bottle of cola left by astronauts. And if you think that sounds weird, you should see the animation itself.

Yes, I liked it. It was a very deranged and interesting alien version of evolution.

I saw Bolero on YouTube and I loved it!

The entire animation was like looking at how life on our planet evolved over the ages. All the animals changing over time, and all at a steady pace. Looking at it all made me feel amazed all over.
The only part of the cartoon that I didn't like was that damn Monkey. I mean, I had a funny feeling about that guy when I first saw him observing everyone else leaving the forest, and he was a total ass hole throughout the rest of the animation, right up to the end where he evolves into man (or some alternate reflection of man) and kill all of the other animals by "growing" a giant city.
But, over all, I thought Bolero was a fantastic animation. Bravo Ravel, bravo.
*claps with satisfaction*

I recently saw that! The movie was funny as heck & I love how the animation fit to Ravel's Bolero.

Wow, this is a deviation for you.

I've seen Bruno Bozzetto's "Ouch" which was not only a fantastic cartoon but had amazing music so I'll try and see if I can't find this one because I'm sure it'll be great.

Wow, that's good. You do have a point in "a little out of the ordinary." Not your usual genre of art. Thanks though!
