Description
Here we have the third and final commission that Wushi W0lf took out from me. This is for another friend of his named Rose. If you guys hadn't already seen some of the other commishes that this guy has taken out, you should. He spent a good amount of money for his friends to get these pieces. He's a pretty amazing guy and I am doing a little networking for him here on dA. If you guys would like to help a genuinely awesome guy get to work in the career of his dreams, head over to my gallery and look for an Adam Jensen piece. All the info you will need is there. Lets see how much we can help him. He's good people.Anywho, yep its Gambit. The resident stubble faced X-man. I had a lot of fun with piece, and I put a little bit of extra oomph into it. I got permission to post it so, here you guys go!
Let me know what you think!
And Marvel owns Gambit, not me. (I wish...)

Personal comics? I have a story that I created but I don't think I am ready to work on it yet. One of the things I see in my art the most clearly is that the more I work with other people the more I learn, by osmosis or something, their trade. For example, writers. The more I work with other people who are writers the more I learn about writing. Its a collaboration in the truest since when I work with a team of people. And I have worked with some pretty talented peeps in their respective fields.
Now what does that have to do with my personal stuff? Well it tells me a lot actually. I work with guys who are published and unpublished but damn close. And the level of sophistication in their writings is way higher than my own. And until I get the story up to that level, I will hold off on production of my book and focus on learning as much as possible. That way when I do feel comfortable that my writing is up to par, I will fell comfortable in putting those skills to my story.
Its actually my thesis project, and I have been writing/thinking about it, since 95. So its pretty near and dear to me. Its all about asking the questions that have always been there in the back of my mind. Questions about life, about faith, or lack thereof. Questions about the meaning of love, the meaning of death, the reason for connections between what could be seen as clever monkeys. It takes alot of the Judeo-Christian mythos that I grew up around, flips it over and looks at it from a very different angle. Not necessarily a pleasant angle either. I am not irreverent to an offensive point, more like I breakdown the darker aspects in order to bring more questions to light. The act of questioning is a central theme throughout. Nothing is taken for face value.
But again, all the writing of synopses in the world does not make a comic book. So I have some learning ot do on the writing end of it. But once I get myself to a confident place in that area, I will write, more than likely, shorts. Illustrate those shorts and then collect them in a G.N. Each short follows one of the 2 p.o.v characters, giving the reader separate but connected stories that have a mosaic effect to them. Up close they are very different stories and their connections to other stories seem lost. But when you pull back and look at all the stories as a whole collection, you will understand the universe in which they live and their lives.
So stay tuned for more on that bud!

I have a Master's degree in Comic Book/Graphic Novel Illustration from the Academy of Art University in San Fran. And I had to produce a thesis project to graduate. My thesis project was a comic book that I conceptualized, wrote, illustrated, colored, lettered, and printed. Without it I would have failed to graduate. So yeah, my thesis.

Right now I am working on character designs for a vidya game, working on a commish that I just got come in, and I am working on some personal pieces. So its all good! What about you?
The fam is good. Its always difficult for the fam to be apart on big days like birthdays and the holidays. but we are good. Getting ready to ship the parents dogs out to them here in the next two weeks. That will be interesting, considering that the only place we can ship them out is Denver. So I will have a bit of a drive out there and then have to put the hounds on a couple of flights. But I have been working with them to get them ready and they are super smart, so I feel pretty good that they will be alright. My hope is that they will whine, bark and holler for a while and then pass out and sleep the majority of the flight. Of course they are going to be pissed when they wake up, but that will be my parents problem then! Ha ha!
DCU? What is DCU?

But...

Hey don't be fooled, there are a lot of @$$holes out there! Hell some might say that the world seems to be full of assholes. But the thing is, your a cool guy. Your a nice guy. You got a lot of personality traits that I can get along with. Personality traits that are becoming more and more rare. So its my pleasure to be penpals and brozinskis with such a guy. Trust me, having been an athlete for 11 years, in a sport that seems to be filled with arrogant douchebags, well you could say that I know the turds from the good ones. And you sir, are no turd!
I am proud of you. Here you are in college, pursuing your dreams despite the looming debt waiting for you like some terrible graduation present, despite the difficulties in getting your foot in the door, despite all this, you stay the course. your headstrong and determined to rise like the phoenix. And i can tell you that when that day comes, you will shine brighter than anyone could have imagined! Keep it up and good things happen to good people man!

Morgan Freeman is the man I want to be. I have yet to see an interview, a movie role, anything really where he wasn't absolutely brilliant. And i mean that in many ways. Not just as an actor, but as a man. Brilliant. His words are poignant but not pretentious. He has earned his place and he doesn't assume to have more than that. He knows his limits and pushes them, while not being pushy. The man is simply brilliant.
I am not too familiar with Ol' Blue Eyes work, but I do know he had a hell of a voice!

I read my first comic when I was four. Its was issue #7 of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This was back before they were turned into a kid friendly saturday morning cartoon (which I love, so don't get me wrong there, I loved the turtles cartoon). This was back when they would kill a foo for effing with Splinter or well any other reason that Splinter said. Their blades were sharp, their blows were powerful and they kicked so much @$$. And since the age of four I started drawing comics and I knew then that I wanted to do this as a life long career. Of course at the time, my young mind didn't think of it like that. At the time it was just, "I wanna draw comics!" But my family saw it, saw that it was something that their quiet middle child could do and that he really enjoyed at such a young age. And yeah man, I just kept on. Never stopped. Not a day goes by that I don't draw. Seriously, if too much time goes by in a day I start to get all antsy. So yeah, never stop doing what you love.
