Description
Another piece I did for the upcoming Entertainment Inc. event. I didn't know I could submit more then one entry until earlier this week, so I rushed to get this bad boy out.Mega Man Legends. It's a series that took a major hit last year, so I thought I would finally get off my rump and make a pic celebrating the lovable franchise. All the better it's for a contest in which the entries will be posted up on the store displays! I'm going to try to get a photo of this work put up on the walls.
Anyhow, enjoy all. I have a mock comic-cover version of this as well, but once again I opted to submit this for the clarity of the unobstructed artwork.

I never played MM Legends, but I'm a big fan of the franchise as a whole. I think this scene really captures the epic-ness(is that even a word lol) of Megaman's role in the universe. He's the lone hero. Nothing special really, kind of a little guy, the underdog. But he always finds a way to stand and keep fighting, and you conveyed that perfectly here. Really awesome piece!

Hey, thanks for the comment! It's always great to get feedback from fellow Mega Man fans. I'm sorry for the late reply. I've had a lazy week. XD
Sure, epicness is a word, why not? I love the point of view you portrayed here, about Mega Man being the underdog and always finding a way to fight. That's him alright. Even never having played the games, you have a feel eye for the Legends games deeper meanings!
I'm glad you like this work. It's one of my favorite pieces that I've done too. I hope I can do more like this in the future.

I like your whole gallery, but this piece definitely stood out. I didn't play Legends cause I am more a fan of the X series, and isn't Legends more of a 3D roam type? I just didn't want Mega to have to do anything other than a side scroller. But then I adored the Battle Network games. The isometric style was amazing.
I'm looking forward to what more you do. Let's talk gaming anytime. Clearly we share a lot of the same interests, although I'm the biggest Metroid nerd you'll ever find. That is my jam. Except Other M, which doesn't actually exist. It's a figment of everyone's imagination. But there's usually one of those in every franchise.

Bingo, Legends is indeed a 3D kind of open world thing. It's quite different from the other MegaMan game series because of it (except for Command Mission I guess), but that is one of the reasons why it has such a following. In addition to the break from the usual Side-scrolling chaos we are all used to, it just oozes with charm. The VA's really throw their back into their work.
Yet another similarity we have, as I also favor the X series. It has just the right balance of serious tones, interesting characters, and play dynamics. Hard to find a better mix in any other franchise that I've sampled. Battle Network was interesting to me too, I thought it had a fairly strong hook that led to addiction-like behavior, at least in me. XD I can see why it got so crazy at the height of it's popularity, but I think it got way too intense and over complicated once Battle Network 4 came out. I was not pleased about needing to compete the game at least 3 times to get all the chips and items in the game. I haven't played much of 5 or 6 yet, but man, that Liberation gimmick in 5 has me worried. I mean, I have the strategy guide for the game and the Liberation missions do not look fun at all. If you have played them, please by all means inform me if they are actually enjoyable.
Thank you for being willing to talk gaming with me! I don't really get to talk to anyone about this stuff anymore, so it's nice to hear someone else's opinion and thoughts on it. ^_^
Oh hey, you like Metroid games? That's awesome. I have only played two in the franchise and watched another on Youtube, and all three were great experiences. The ones I have had the privilege of playing was Super Metroid and Zero Mission, while I watched Fusion. All of them made me applaud at the end of them.... Just got to say: That Ridley/Omega Metroid scream in Fusion, though!
Ha ha ha, love your comments about Other M. XD So those partial videos I watched weren't really there, just a "temporary distortion of reality" as I like to quote from one of my favorite shows. Good to know!

Wow, so cool! :3
Don't worry, we'll get you off the moon, MegaMan!
(On the other hand, there are worse places to be stuck than a place called "Elysium". )

While I've unfortunately not had the pleasure of playing either of the MegaMan Legends games, I've seen parts of the first and it looks and sounds like so much fun. It's very shameful that the third got cancelled, but I'm confident this series will be picked back up again.
This picture is very amazing, man. Wonderful work.

Yeah, it was a serious fan tragedy when the 3rd game was cancelled. I was in such shock from the announcement, I think my mind was permanently dulled from it. Pretty sure it's safe to say many are in the same boat. I hope with you that the game get's to resurface.
If you ever get the chance, even for a few minutes, to try the Legends games, I'd recommend that you give 'em a whirl. They really are little gems. Pretty awkward play control, but the games are undoubtedly fun. Voice acting is... Good for the time, I suppose. Some narration could use some work, but the main cast is more tolerable. Very bubbly at points.
Thank you for the kind words on the artwork. It was a labor of love. I tried some new techniques on this piece, like the texture on the planet and the ground. I'm happy I guess.

I definitely will. I always loved a good game where I can explore places and find things ...assuming that's the objective. I only know a few things about it from watching a fan's review of the game.
Also, you are very welcome.

Yeah, they have been doing great work supporting the cause, what with the rocket launch and all that.

Hmmm. There's a thought. Might look good as a postcard-like thing, although my personal opinion is that this would look better as a wall poster (you know, to show one's undying love for Mega Man Legends).

Wow, thank you! That is very high praise, since there is so much good work our there.
I was very disappointing when MML3 was cancelled. I think it was the shallowest thing Capcom could have done at that point. I hope we get to see the light of the project again someday. Maybe in another 10 years?

Wow, thank you! I'm glad you enjoy; this one was rather fun to put together for the most part. Relatively quick for a completed work for me, too. Love of the Legends must have powered me through it.

If you count Misadventures of Tron Bonne, there are three Legends games (that are sold in the US not including cell phone games). I can kinda relate; I had an opportunity to pick up Misadventures years ago, but back then I didn't know it was a Legends game. I'm kicking myself for it now.

Oh yes.
Reminds me I had a chance to pick up the first Two Legend Games at Kitsune Kon. I couldn;t though, as the guy at the bank shut down early, and they wanted ALOT for the games. ><
Oh well, At least I walked out with a Metallic Megaman X D-Arts figure.
