Description
This is a photo of everyday life in the Philippines. A commonality in almost every street in the metro and suburbs - a homeless young boy, half naked and hopeless. Nothing left to wear, nothing left to eat. No home, no family. No hope - for now. If only we could do something. Something to change this cruel yet predictable world. One step at a time, one step at a time.--

Some folks do what we can. It is more then throwing money at a problem, but being willing to help when, where and how we can.
I have friends that go to the Philipines yearly on medical mission trips: others send finances and still others take photos to show the need to motivate others to give or go....
One thing we can't do is sit by and do nothing... which is why politics won't change the situation; only people who care will.

perfectly said. yes, money is needed. but people often times appreciate more the actual help people are giving.
in any way, if you would go on medical missions, i would gladly participate if you'll have any. it would be an awesome experience to share and tell the world what truly is the reality of this land we're living on.

My friends that go on the medical mission trips are always looking for help. They go on a yearly cycle down from Okinawa. Drop me a note and I'll see if they can contact you when they go down this spring.

The zoomed-out view captures his lonliness, and how he must fend for himself. Sadly, this isn't very uncommon, meanwhile opportunists in corporations, stock trade, etc. make millions (sometimes even billions) while making little or no contribution to society.
Any time someone can bring more attention to that, so maybe one of the few non-corrupt politicians can do something about it, I appreciate it. Kudos on the well-deserved DD.
