Description This is a photo of everyday life in the Philippines. A commonality in almost every street in the metro and suburbs - a homeless young boy, half naked and hopeless. Nothing left to wear, nothing left to eat. No home, no family. No hope - for now. If only we could do something. Something to change this cruel yet predictable world. One step at a time, one step at a time.

This is a very amazing photo. It really strikes you in the heart. People ask for more all the time, even though they don't even realize that there are people (including kids) who don't have anything, not even a family to lean on. Great job with this photo. <3

i agree with LENNA-FX. i don't like that particular sentence either. everyday, we are ALWAYS given the chance to do something. whether or not you are still studying, or are already working, you are always given the choice of doing something to help out or not.

after ondoy, it was not only the rich and the "legal-aged" who helped pack/donate relief goods, but also those of the lower and middle-class, children and teenagers. it should not take another calamity like that typhoon to make us get out of our comfort zone and help.

SOMETHING should be done everyday. in fact, there is another opportunity for us to exercise our choice of making a difference and that "opportunity" is the 2010 elections.

this is a very beautiful photo, and i love the fact that it's very universal as every country has its share of poverty. however, i believe that the sentence below it should be something more affirmative and kinetic; something like: "We SHOULD do something."

I live in the Philippines, and every time I see these kind of things, I think, 'Rich people always want more and aren't content; but the poor are happy with what they have.' It's some kind of thing that everyone has to learn. But sadly, it isn't learned yet.
