The shame! My first deviation since being back from Thailand and I did an anthro. My brain must be still affected by the dysentery.Anyway, this is the Red-Necked Wallaby (Macropus rufogriseus). This shy, medium built macropod inhabits sclerophyll forests and coastal scrub along the east coast of Australia. They get their name not from their boorish and uncivilised behaviour but from an orangey red patch of fur on the back of their neck. The pun however made me giggle so I decided to draw it. (and what better way to draw a bogan wallaby than watching the footy and swiggin' a few cans of the veebs)
I know the white is pretty stark and the composition is awful but I haven't slept in a while. Tell me some ways I can fix it and I probably will.

XD A snicker-funny way to convey one of Australia's marsupial mammals - and an interesting one at that! And as Australian myself, I understand some of the slang and even see the near similarities of the terms 'red-necked' and 'bogan' - it definitely fits the personality of this mammal perfectly! :3 Also a good memory-jogger tool!

Still a funny picture, though. 
Now if only I understood Aussie slang, then I'd know what a bogan is. And these "veebs" you speak of. And anything else you say. BUT, maybe if you just fill the background with a simple two tone gradient? Like gray and blue, really light, but it'll make it less in your face WHITE.

veebs = VB = Victoria Bitter = cheap beer associated with cricket
