Fair's fair. This guy [link] seems to have done it before me. I guess there is nothing new under the sun after all.

I realised after that I should have named it myriaPod so I could do other arthoPod ones. Oh well.

Ahahaha! This kept me laughing - like something out of an old horror movie, desecrating the iPod ads! Nice work! XDDD

well, everything ending in pod has been related to the iPod already. Because iPod owns the universe except for the parts that Google still owns. I think yours is more dynamic anyway!
how do you do these? Someone said they're by hand? D:

Apparently they own Pads now too.

Haha, too true.
It's done in photoshop with the brush tool. naught101 was referring to the fact that it's not done in a vector drawing program (which I found out would make it a lot easier) Oh well, I kinda like doing it by brush.

oh cool! So it is freehand then! That's amazing! Is vector drawing sort of like the pen tool in photoshop? I have a rather unsteady hand so I always end up using that

Yeah, that's it. I can't work it out. I'm learning slowly though.

Yay for arthropods!
Too bad that arthropods don't really have ears.

I have to say, I did giggle hysterically at reading this, even though another has done it beofre you, it doesn't make it any less cool.

Pretty cool.
I reckon you should ditch the rounded corners - they look wierd. Would also look wierd on a rectangular print.
Also, it's a bit of an un-centipede-like pose. They don't rear up like that. I think I like the octopus more
You've definitely got the style down pat. looks good. Apparently some iPod ads have gradients as background too: [link]
Impressive that it's hand drawn

Yeah, you're definitely right about the rounded edges. In Photoshop they are transparent but when it was saved to a jpeg the corners went white.

Save as a .png. It's a better format for this kind of thing - it's lossless, but it's sometimes bigger if there's lots of colours (like in a photo).
Also, if you're gonna really get into vector art, you should atart using a vector-based program, like inkscape: [link] , and save your files as an SVG, and export to PNG as needed.
