DISLIKES/WEAKNESS: Mephisto

(Sin and Virtue, despite being more than old enough to take care of themselves, have never left Mephisto's sides. This is of course, because they love their father intensely, and dont want to leave the nest just yet. Due to Mephisto spoiling them so rotten, he is unknowingly to blame for Sin and Virtue's immature mindsets, bad behavior, and bad attitudes.)

RELATIONSHIPS:

(* = Will go into further detail on said characters page later)

Diana Dastardly:
Diana finds Sin and Virtue to be very childish and annoying, often wanting nothing to do with the two of them. As innocent as Sin is, he is incredibly stupid and causes quite a bit of trouble wherever he goes, while Virtue is known for her scams throughout the story, always making a quick buck wherever she goes, even at Diana's expense.

Doodle:
Doodle finds Sin and Virtue to be an exceptionally special psir of misfits, given their non-Diana origin.

Unlike Doodle and their father, Mephisto, they have no recollection of their previous lives in the alternate tooniverses,  essentially always returning to their state of mind they were in after they fell from Heaven to be tasked with watching over Sherry.

Cream:
Cream and the Pheles kids rarely ever interact. As such, they have few notable interactions.

Nickel:
Nickel is one of the few characters Sin and Virtue dont heckle or belittle. Sin finds Nickel's false persona to be cool, and often calls him Uncle Nickel after he and Mephisto get closer. Not only that, but even Virtue gives him a level of respect she rarely gives anyone but her father, which may not sound like much, but if you know Virtue...its impressive.

Raspberry:
Given how close Mephisto grows to Raspberry, with the two eventually dating one another, she begins to hang around the Pheles kids much more often. While Sin happily accepts her, Virtue and Raspberry occasionally butt heads with each other due to Virtue's jealousy.

Mister Seltzer:
"Listen, guys...I dont care WHAT these IDs say, there is no way im serving alcohol to someone who looks like a minor!"

S: " Waaaaaah! Thats not fair! I'm telling you I'm adulted enough! I! Want! I!P!A! Waaaaah!!"

V:"You think you're cool, huh? Think you're cool telling ME no, Liquor boy? I'll remember this, you fucking Weenie..."

Despite how close He and Mephisto grow along the course of their story, Larry isnt thr closest to the Pheles kids. Despite them being legally old enough in the cosmic sense, Larry refuses to serve Sin and Virtue alcohol. This makes Virtue see him as a lame ass weenie.

Miss Honeydew:
Teresa finds Sin to be a bit overwhelming, and finds Virtue to be a spoiled brat with no respect. That being said, Virtue sees nothing but dollar signs when ahe meets Teresa, opening her to multiple 'business' opportunities that may or may not involve her and pictures of her body.

Mephisto: If you asked anyone else, they would tell that Sin and Virtue are incredibly annoying childlike monsters. Not Mephisto, though. They're perfect little children who can do no wrong, if you ask him. Maybe hes blinded to their shenanigans due to being a couple million years behind on sleep, maybe its because love truly is blind, but Mephisto absolutely loves his kids to pieces and, seeing them as he last true piece of Diantha be has left, he vows to watch over them for all eternity through every time line. This seems to be to his detriment, whether he knows it or not, as the Angel and Devil inhabiting his sides at all times, arguing, or asking for chocolate pudding at 3 in the morning make him feel as if he's lost control of his life as he knows it.

Virtue is his darling daughter, and as such he spoils her rotten. Virtue is a "defect" of Diana's, a Cherub that wasnt made fully by Diana's hand, and as such, is missing certain features most cherubs in Paradiso have, such as multiple heads, multiple wings, and and golden blonde hair. This undercooking sonto speak, left Virtue, well, Virtue-less. Regardless of her bsshful actions, Mephisto loves his little girl, and is willing to drop whatever hes doing for her sake.

Ever the money-making grubber, Virtue isnt above "borrowing" her Daddy's money.

Sin is a creation a lot more personal to Mephisto's heart. Made entirely without Diantha's assistance, Sin is the corrupted version of an angel all Mephisto's design, creating what would go one to be called Imps in Hell. Despite his demonic appearance, Sin is a happy go lucky boy with a heart of gold, whose only sin is pestering his big sister. Sin loves his dad to pieces, and sees him as his idol and the ideal man, Sin dresses and acts just like his dad in order to channel his awesome dad energy.

Similar to Soul Eater's Weapon-Meister system, Sin and Virtue are capable of transforming into living weapons for their pops to use. Being that they're of Divine origin, notmsl toons wont damage them, but any other holy bodies are capable..

Sherry*:
Simply referring to her as "Auntie", Sin and Virtue both fear and loathe Sherry whenever she appears. They both see her as a menace for how she mistreats their precious dad.

Patrick*:
Given his nihilistic attitude and stoic disposition, Patrick isnoften the target of Sin and Virtue's obnoxious behavior, ususally being the one to physically pick the two up and break up their childish fights with a snappy "Break it up, you two!!"

Patrick will not hesitate to get physical with the two if need be. Which you msy go wow, what kinda asshole would hit s kid--but you must remember ain and Virtue are actually very legal. Small, yes, but very much adults, so its just one adult beating up two little people--which is A-Ok!

Valentine*:
Valentine is often a victim of Virtue's scam process, ususally being the one that the blame falls on when or if one goes awry. Given that in the toon world of Diana, women and men get equal pies to the face, Valentine often gets the daylights beaten out of her by angry civilians on Virtues behalf. If Valentine had half a mind, she'd tell Virtue off, and show her just who's the top angel in their chior. Wishful thinking, methinks, as If she had half a brain, she'd have double the brains she has now.

Maddie*:
Sin and Virtue are somewhat weary of the happy go lucky hippie, despite Sins willingness to befriend anyone and everyone and Virtues desire to mske a quick buck from any sucker they meet. Not Maddie, though. Something about smile and pretty eyes seem to command respect. No, not respect...perhaps the better word for it is loyalty?

Hemlock*:
Sin and Virtue are quick to point out the fact that Hemlock, regardless of hos form he takes, are toys. Specifically divine ones, meaning they come from Paradiso. The butterfly in particular is a plushie they recall seeing being carried by the sickly [R&$&@!g&i @'x] often, before [nanakaSPOILERRERRORREGAILIANOTFOUND?FSNA?] In a pocket outside the Tooniverse itself.

[SPOILERS] after begrudgingly assisting Diana towards the end of the story in a last ditch effort to keep its individuality and not rejoin the Nothing, Hemlock begins to slowly grow closer to the two.

APPEARANCE:

Body:

Sin and Virtue are the embodiment of the angel and devil on your shoulders, and as such, are incredibly small, roughly a foot tall or so. They do, however, have the ability to transform into their non-toon forms later in the story, making them roughly Diana's height)

Starting with everyones soon-to-be favorite imp, Sin: Sin is a Bald Imp, save for his black bushy eyebrows, adorned with small horns, red skin and big Pink eyes, with glowing white pupils. Sin has a rather large pointed nose, with small, equally pointed ears. Sin is almost always smiling with a big, spiky tooth grin.

Sin has spiked fingers, Red wings with Yellow skin flaps and black claws, as well as pointed tail, completing his Imp design.

Next we have everyone's favorite little devil in Angel's clothing, Virtue: Virtue has a fair complexion with fluffy sky blue hair and equally blue eyes. Her cheeks are always a plush pink, giving her a youthful look despite her true age. Under her gloves, Virtue has glittery blue nails.

Like all Angels, Virtue has a pair of feathery angel wings, and is capable of flight.

Clothing/Accessories:

Sin: Sin wears a smaller matching top to his Dad, although without the tailcoat portion, and a white button up undershirt. He wears a matching bow tie with his older Sister, although his is Pink. He is Pantsless. On his feet, Sin has a pair of black tap shoes, with Gray soles.

Virtue: Virtue, like all angels, has a golden halo above her head. She wears a Pink sleeveless dress with a yellow trimming around her waist. She wears a collared yellow long-sleeved undershirt, has a matching bow tie with her younger brother, although hers is blue. Under her dress, she wears a matching pair of light blue Bloomers and a sports bra. She wears a pair Pink slip on flats with yellow soles.

Sin wears no gloves, and Virtue wears white, puffy, mario-like gloves.

Emblem: Sin and Virtue's emblem is a pair of twin hearts, one a sky blue angel and the other a Red devil. Each one has wings, and while the angel has a hsl, the devil has horns and a tail.

WEAPONS:

*SPECIALTY SKILL*

Heavensent, Hellbent 😇💫😈

During battle, Mephisto changes attack stances every turn. When his attack stances changes, his stats change as well. When using Sin, His defense drops to zero, but his melee attacks become twice as strong.

When using Virtue, Mephisto takes flight and uses a long ranged attack. This Ranged attack guarantees a Critical hit if it lands--IF, as his accuracy is greatly diminished.

His entire fighting style is heavily influenced by luck and a game of chance, making him a glass cannon of a man.

RANGE: Virtue's Sins:

"O pitiful soul lost in the darkness, O vile Edlrich abominations who dare threaten the Heavens and Earth. May the righteous power from this Angel's sins strike down upon you with great vengeance and furious anger, shattering your loathsome impurity and returning you from whence you came!

Go!

Virtue!"

V:"REPENT, MOTHERFUCKER!"

Mephisto takes flight using Virtue's holy power, his eyes changing to resembleher own. The snap of his finger turns her into an angelic Bow that fires arrows of light from high above the clouds. In this stance, Mephisto's accuracy is hindered, but his attacks that hit are guaranteed to strike an enemy in their soul, dealing critical damage.

The arrows themselves are Virtue's very essence. Due to Virtue being a money grubbing inconsiderate jerk who is often mean to others, Her powers stem from her sins.

MELEE:

"With this swing, May the crusts of the Earth be damned and Shattered, may the Seas Dry into vasts Deserts, May the Sun nor Moon ever grace you with their Divine light!

May the Divine love of this Earthly Imp guide you straight to the blessed light of Paradiso!

Go!

Sin!"

S: "Oh! MY! GOD!!"

Mephisto summons his inner evils and temporarily gains a demonic form, his eyes changing to resemble Sin's. He turns Sin into a powerful spiked Mace. In this stance, Mephisto's unsble, or more accurately, unwilling, to back down from a fight, has a 0% chance of avoiding attacks. In return, however, His physical strength is increased tenfold, making his physical attacks much stronger.

The Mace's Spikes are Sin's very essence, Capable of jutting out and contracting. Due to Sin's over all well meaning and childlike innocence, His powers stem from his virtuous behavior.

DESCRIPTION:

"Daaaaddy! Virtue hit me over the head with a comically oversized Anvil!"

"HE started it, Daddy! He wouldn't leave me alone! And i TOLD him i was gonna hit him and gave him plenty of warning, Daddy! And--and you said as long as i warn him its okay, Daddy, you said so!"

"Kids, kids! You're--You're both right! It's my fsult ahahaha. Here, why dont you take this stack of money and go play around town while Daddy works, okay?"

*Cha-Ching! SIN and VIRTUE aquired $80 Monies*

"Thanks,Daddy! Love you!"
"Thanks,Daddy! Love you!"

One's a devil that was made in heaven.

Ones an angel who finds her true calling in hell.

Both are menaces to the world, or as Mephisto likes to call them: perfect little children. Whether he's just too burnt out to notice their behavior or simply adjusted to it, Mephisto often ignores the problems his children cause, and in fact often indirectly causes it by sending them out with money to do as they please during business hours. Still, despite their relatively nasty nature, Mephisto truthfully loves his kids with all his heart, perhaps to a bit of a detriment.

To recap them for you really quickly:

Virtue is the "daughter" of Diantha and Mephisto. She was created to show show Mephisto how Diantha creates life, but due to him assisting her, Virtue isn't completely divine. This led to her looking different from the other Cherubs in heaven, including a lack of wings and heads the rest have.

Sin is a Creation all Mephisto's own, made in an attempt to make a perfect cherub. Due to him not being the creator, his creation is rejected and turned into a hellish red version of Mephisto's original design, creating the first of what would be called "Imps" in the Underworld. Due to his father's good nature, Sin too, is good natured despite his looks.

Sin and Virtue, despite their small statures and childlike nature with one another, are in fact grown adults, in all senses of the word. Appearing to be in their 20s, Much like Mephisto and Sherry, looks can be deceiving.

All throughout the Tooniversal adventure, even when the chips ate down and spirits low, you can breath wasy k owing these two will keep a healthy dose of comedy around at all times to prevent the story from ever becoming too gritty. Wherever Diana goes, Mephisto will follow. And once that happens, a flurry of tap dances, sibling cartoon cloud brawls, and scams felt around the wallet will follow.

TRIVIA:

-Sin is based off of the following characters:

•Little Ogre (Soul Eater) for his imp characteristics, big nose and pointed ears, as well as his clothes.

•Billy (Billy and Mandy) for his personality and intelligence (or lack there of)

•Kanchome (Zatch Bell) for his Whininess, voice and childlike nature, as well as his love of sweets and Dance.

-Virtue is based off of the following characters:

•Mandy (Billy snd Mandy) for her cruel demeanor, manipulation of others, and lack of smile.

•Eddy (Ed Edd n Eddy) for her constant desire for scams.

•Laila (Zatch Bell) for her stoic nature and resting bitch face.

-Sin and Virtue are loosely based on the infamous cartoon "The Cramp Twins", with the two of them almost always finding a reason to argue and fight with ine another, like bratty siblings do.

-Sin's full first name, Sinbad, isnt actually based on the character of legend, but a mashup of Sin and Bad, as in "Sin is bad".

Likewise, his sisters name, Harmonie, is a play on the words "Harm", as shes known to physically assault multiple people, and "Monies",  the name for currency in Diana Dastardly.

Whenever Sin and Virtue argue, she ususally strangles Sin and shouts "Why you little--!" Like Homer Simpson.

-Virtue is canonically mostly responsible for all the fetish pics you all have seen from the Diana girls. This is because she never misses an opportunity to make money, and as times change, so too do people's tastes. Whatever you're into, Virtue is interested in making it happen--for a paycheck.

while they dont really use it offensively, Sin and Virtue are capable of Pyrokinetics. Sin, like his dad, can create slames with the snap of his fingers, while his sister can create flashes of holy light.

-Mephisto, Sin and Virtue are based off the concept of the angel and devil on your shoulder. This concept eventually evolved into the two of them becoming his children.

Character "Themes":

So, ususally when drawing, i tend to play music that i feel best represents my character im drawing st the moment to feel further connected to them. It may sound silly, but it's one of my favorite ways to getting absorbed in my artwork. So, going forward, i will refer to these songs as a character's "Theme".

(Both)

Danganronpa Series - Mr. Monokuma's extracurricular Lesson:
youtu.be/Yy0JuVXTcUw?si=k2m6_B…

Much like the character of Monokuma, Sin and Virtue's screen time is often meant for comic relief and or to one up the most obnoxious person in the room at any given time. Given his personality, as well as the song thst goes with it, i cant help but think of this song fitting the Pheles kids like a glove.

Soul Eater - Bang!Bang!Bang!: youtu.be/KU1bo-VIEm0?si=4mv2IR…

"Bang!BangBang!

Have a nice dream!"

Of course the characters based on Soul Eater would have a soul eater theme rep them. This song always got me pumped up when i was younger and watching the series for the first time. It just gets you in the mood tonwatch someone get their ass beat. I know i said it before, but Mephistopheles IS Michael in this world, and Michael is kinda badass if youre into Christian "lore" (lol), so of course when he decides to get mad enough ti fight, it should envoke a badass feeling.

(Sin)

Wun Two - Samba to Massage your mate by: youtu.be/Txl1cVVmXms?si=FRJK8b…

While not necessarily screaming "Imp music" (what does that even mean?), this song really catches the feel im trying to go for with Sin being a goody good boy who loves to Dance. The crackling of the lofi beat also makes me think of fire, and given where he and his family live, it fits the motiff pretty well.

Jujusu Kaisen - Lost in Paradise:
youtu.be/KJWrvoMlHvY?si=RLwIhC…

One of those songs that makes you wanna dance through your house when you're home alone--n-not thay I have, but you know--you know!! Being an energetic bundle of Virtuous innocence, Sin likes to express himself through dance like his pops. He is particularly good at disco, and even capable of dancing like that ONE skeleton puppet weve all see dancing...however thats possible.

(Virtue)

Danganronpa Series - Miss Monomi's practice lesson:
youtu.be/g9R5mpVVuQ8?si=ipwvyh…

I was never a huge fan of Miss monomi in dr2, but everytime her theme plsyed, i perked my ears up. Its a theme just immediately grabs your attention--and thats hiw i want Virtue to feel. Virtue is EVERYONE'S princess, and she expects nothing but attention. Given how few times Sin and Virtue get to shine, i want it have an impact, which is how this song makes me feel about her.

Hatsune Miku: World is Mine: youtu.be/EuJ6UR_pD5s?si=dkjAqq…

Pretty self explanatory really. After all, Virtue sees herself as the Princess of the world, given thats how her father's treated her her entire life. As far as Virtue cares, she may as well be the center of the universe, and this song has always stucknwith me when msking characters with that mindset. Ningyo, from Soul Reaper, as well as Clotho, also from Soul Reaper, are two characters who were both created to this song as well, and i feel like Virtue is a healthy mix if the two in one character.

VOICE(S):

When thinking of voices for these troublesome babbies, there were 2 that immediately came to mind, and are the only acceptable voices in my head:

Sin's voice would be like that of Kanchome, from Zatch Bell--aka, Steven Richard Horvitz, also known for voicing Billy and that unfunny show imp

Virtue's voice would be like that of Stocking Anarchy from Panty and Stocking, aka, Monica Rial! Also known for characters like Tsuyu from MHA and Bulma from DBZ, .
