Description
This is my first tutorial! Please enjoy. After exams, I'll take a picture of the new things I made. You'll be amazed :]
I use air-dry clay.
If you are using polymer clay, make sure you bake it before glazing.

I bought them online :] I also sell them, you can message me if you're interested. You make them out of polymer clay or sometimes resin clay. There's many tutorials on DA if you search up "polymer cane." (:

;o! Well I've tried my hand at canes, but could never get them that transparent ;_; Thank you for that though, I'll definitely be noting you for some when I get enough money!

Can I just say that your tutorial is amazing?
A point though: you shouldn't use clear nail polish to glaze your finished piece, it looks good for a whie, then it becomes sticky and melts over time. It can also ruin the look of your clay.
I don't like Sculpey Glaze, it's true that it dries white, but that's because there is still too much liquid on the piece.
Though a shiny look can be achieved by dipping it several times.
Anyway, nice tutorial

Hehe thanks! yeah, I noticed that the nail polish does melt away and becomes sticky...I learnt to use the nail polish first so the colour stays in tact, and then go over it with some sculpey glaze :]

I have to say, I love these. I want to try it, but I want to ask;
Where did you get the rhinestones/gems and phone straps? And how big are the eyepins? XXmm?
Thank you! <3

I got the rhinestones from a nail art kit. I got the kit from a chinese dollar store :]. You can buy phone straps online. They're much cheaper than buying them in craft stores (Michaels, etc). The eyepins are quite small, but a bit long, so you'd have to cut off a part to stick it in. The little hole for the eyepin is 3mm across.!

May I ask (again) if I can make a substitute for the Sculpey glaze? Scupley glaze is kinda hard to find here...
If yes, please put something easy to find.

The easiest way would be to substitue the glaze with some clear glue. I've tried this and it works, but someitmes there's bubbles when you mix the paint with the glue.
If you can't find sculpey glaze, you can also try using fabric paint. Like this: [link] You just squeeze it out of the bottle, let it dry, and it hardens and stays shiny and 3D.
I'm not if this works. But you can try getting some brown nail polish and using that as "chocolate sauce". It should stay shiny when it's dry.
I hope one of these methods work for you :]

About the chocolate sauce, I got too much glaze. How would I fix it?

Did you buy too much glaze? Or you put too much glaze in your mixture? If you put too much in your mixture, you can just add more paint :]

ummmm I'm not so sure about that. But I hear the canes are made out of resin clay, which air-dries instead of being baked.
