I'd love to see what you come up with, this was just a spir of the moment idea when I was converting the Mosquito's shaders to iray

Love how her skin shows a sci-fi pattern. That detail really makes the whole thing different.

I didn't have the idea for the pattern until the very end, it changed the whole theme

The idea crystallized once I added the Iray materials to the Mosquito.

Interesting piece, very interesting. Not only the crispy clear visual, also the concept expressed intrigues me the most.
Another monsterpiece!

Whoa, cool!! I've not seen that android mosquito model before. I love the circuit mark where it bites her.
The lighting is really pretty too!

That is a neat twist on the story! Very well done! what did you use as light under th skin?

JoePingleton In reply to Linwelly [2016-12-30 20:32:51 +0000 UTC]
Thanks,
The twist came at the very end when I decided to add the "circuit board" on the skin in post. Before it was just a red point light slightly under the skin.

Thanks,
I originally just had the render with the light then decided to add the "circuit board" on the skin in post

Thank you,
I started out just changing the material on the "Mosquito", then it needed a place to sit

This is incredible, Joe. That focused light, the closeup pov... really gives one the shivers. It should be in print, IMO, really. I also love that touch of the "circuit board" on the skin. Great work, one of my absolute favourites of yours.

Thanks, Maybe I'll render it larger since it's mostly just the render, with only the "circuit board" on the skin in post

Thanks, I wanted to see what a small light would do to the SSS, had to make it not very bright to avoid it taking over.
