Recently Hot Topic youtube channel released a video interview with Applejack where she revealed that she got her hat "Bobbing for Apples at the Ponyville Fair," (See the full interview here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWcxeB… ) after seeing that video I decided to make a comic to expand on that a bit.Production on this comic was hard due to the fact that my art program kept freezing up while I was drawing it, but I'm pretty satisfied after finishing it. I personally think this is one of my best comics, it's one of my few comics that actually makes me kind of emotional.

With all the attention she gives her hat in the show (be it intentional by the writers or not), it is blatantly obvious that it means more to her then being "just another prize". Not sure what the person who wrote that hot minute was thinking... Personally I would bet good money that nearly the entire fan base is going disagree with that one, and that this will cause an explosion of "AJ's hat origin" comics/pictures to appear.

i dislike this headcanon, but this is just my personal opinion. i prefer to just leave it without bringing her parents into every little thing about Applejack, and her hat is one of them. again, just my opinion.
still a nice comic, and neat how it makes reference to Applejack's 3 apple bobbing skill in Apple Family Reunion.

I really like how you interpreted such a minor statement, and kept everything in character. Especially in that you reinforced Applejack's love of family above all other concerns.

Honestly hated that thing when she said she won it at the fair. I could almost hear fanons exploding in bronys' heads everywhere. Honestly like the whole father/mother handing down thing. Maybe Macintosh's yoke was his father's.
