I legitimately think this is my favorite episode ever. The only part I wasn't satisfied with was vinyl and octavia. I wish vinyl could speak, (something similar, but not the same to nowaking,) and the whole rolling speaker wagon was a tad two extreme for me. but the rest was great. Now I only hope they follow up with at least some of it. I want more derpy, more doctor, and more lyra and bon bon, spy or no spy. I'm sure I sound greedy, but I'm too happy to care. Also, I think it would be very popular. Β Β

The writers knew what they were doing, they were saying it without ACTUALLY saying it, everything from the "bedroom eyes" to the strange phrasing implies more, but no child would pick up on it and most parents would need some sort of context to understand there even was a second meaning.

"Best buds!"
"Here's to us being best friends forever in a completely platonic way!"
"You said it! We're as close as two friends could possibly be without going over any boundaries that would be indicative of us being more than friends."
Just replace "best friends" with "lovers" or the synonym of your choice and their scenes wouldn't change one bit.

"We are BEST friends" said with bedroom eyes are as close as the writers could get to make the ship canon without getting in troubles for supporting gay couples to kids

Yeah, while the staff has denied all of the other same-sex pairings that the fans have come up with, it was pretty dang obvious they were hinting toward this one in "A Slice of Life," which kind of annoyed me as I was really hoping there'd be a gag that the two characters barely know each other just to tick the fans off. Hehe.

They did it too in Rainbow Rocks, the EG movie. The way those two shared that piano up close. I don't mind it, I think they make it very cute
