Sorry again if you were expecting a regular caption but as the last one was so well received, I decided to make another one. This one is less about the style and content in a caption and more about posting habits in general. These are just my opinions and a lot of it comes down to personal preference but hopefully this will still help some people out there!

Johnlav’s Tips For caption creation habits.

Try to continually improve the quality of your content.
Ask yourself what you could do to make it better if you were to make it again or look at what other people are doing that you like and see if you can incorporate similar aspects.

Don’t be afraid to try new things.
It’s your content after all, if it doesn’t work out, that’s fine but you won’t know unless you try!

If you have multiple posts to upload, spread them out rather than posting them all at once.
This will allow your uploads to reach more people.

But also, don’t leave too long of a gap between posts.
A few hours seems to be the sweet spot for multi-part captions for me but it depends on the content and how long it takes to create.

Be consistent with the styling and format of your content.
It doesn’t necessarily need to look special but you want people to be able to look at a glance and know that it’s yours.

Include meta information like a link to your profile as well as reference links to sources you’ve used.
That way, if the caption is shared, people know where it came from and it’s not so big of a deal if someone reuploads your content.
