Hi there! First of all, let me say that you have been a great inspiration for me! Following your development has made me realize that you are simply getting better - day by day. Therefore I simply had to use this technique you are demonstrating above, which has led to my newest piece. I am no where near your skill level, but if you are interested in seeing where your art brought me, here is the link: [link]
If you are interested in giving it critique or maybe comment on how i could get better, it would mean the world to me!
Keep on making amazing art!

Oh my god, thank you for this awesome tutorial! lol I would get tired and finish drawing at Step 3
I'm sure I will use it! (I'm trying to learn drawing realistic after drawing in manga style for many years...)
And *Zedna7 's critique is right: it gives much hope and ispiration to try!

Nice tutorial! Usually I stop my digital drawings at about step 4, but seeing how much better it looks after 5 and 6 really made me pay attention to details. I haven't done digital art in quite a while heh. I'm looking forward to trying this out.

This was so helpful to me, thank you!
But i have a little question:
The part where you reduce the opacity of your lineart to create the more realistic look, with color did you use to paint over the lineart again?
Thank you!

JoJoesArt In reply to Ichigo-hoshi [2012-06-27 13:36:54 +0000 UTC]
I use the color picker and pick the colors of the skin/hair/fur etc., so depending on which part of the lineart I am painting over!

I also looked at your eye tutorial, I've actually attempted to do an eye using it, I may post it up but it looks absolutely...well sh!t to be honest
