Half Life 3 IS confirmed BTW. Valve did confirm making a L4D3 and it doesn't use the Original HL2 Engine... So... why not?

Favorite part for two reasons:
1) Funny as heck, enough said.
2) When I played this part, I used a grenade on the trip mines and died in the ensuing nuclear blast.

HL would be great if they just dropped the whole Xen bit. And the fish was cool. I'm still miffed about the fact that I didn't get to fight those in HL2. Underwater monsters always creep me out.

My friend was playing this while I was over, and it took forever to kill the underwater fish-monster. He ran out of tranquil darts, so I suggested luring the fish above water so he could use his other guns. Best plan ever.

I obviously have no idea if you've ever heard of TVTropes, but the Xen levels have spawned a trope: Xen Syndrome. A game is good, better, great...then the final level suhcks beyond comparison.

Half-life is my favourite game, most valve games are my favourite games. I did get kinda annoyed at Xen too, only because it made my brain flip. Like the tree things that stab you. Im never hiding behind one of them again...

The part I had a real time in was that stupid part of using the trampoline..pore..things to jump up onto the backs of those manta critters.I constantly missed and died. >.< It was on the PS2 version.

Better to go into the underground area there and use the elevator thingy to get up above the mantas and then jump down on them from there instead

It takes much more skill than mouse and key board.

I have to agree, even though I've been using controllers longer than keyboards, in first person games your aim and motion just feel faster/smoother on a mouse (usually..at-least I feel that's the case with half-Life and Halo).

Yeah, using a mouse is much easier cause you can move around fast. On a controller its very hard. I remember playing Call of Duty or something on PS2, lol was it hard to aim .
