Well, if they run at insane speeds it can also be a hardware problem; most computers are dual-core by now and some older games go crazy over it. Hell, even Painkiller has this problem. But it's easily fixed with some sort of patch.

Amazing isn't it? The most awesome games that set the standards that many of the wanna-bes are vying for toady are dang well near unplayable anymore due to advancing technology that is somehow too powerful to be backwards capable.

Aggh. Myst. Theraputic? That game always made me tense and paranoid. 'Course, I was only about 6 or so at the time...*shudder* Never got very far in that game. I'll have to try it again, someday. :3

Ohhhhmg I remember playing that. I had a NOTEBOOK of all of the things I needed to remember. Course I have the memory of a goldfish...which really sucks when ti comes to playing myst.
And I never made it past level two T_T -sob-

I must've been a freak (still am, probably) in that the only reason I needed a guidebook for Myst was because I kept getting turned around in Channelwood. Needed the map.
Loved the series, except for 4, which was... yeah. I dunno.

I've figured it out for anyone who wants to know.
If you go to best buy you can find it or even buy it on amazon i think. It's Myst 10th Anniversary Dvd Edition. It has Myst, Riven, and Myst 3:Exile. I just bought and literally haven't started playing it yet.

I have that game for computer, PSP and DS, and I wish I had the Saturn version XD The puzzles were hellish to solve, but the interface was easy as pie.

I'm a big fan of the Myst games (i cheat--i use the online guides to get me through all the puzzles and to the interesting bits...), and i absolutely ADORE this comic!

My dad had that and I played it a bit. I kinda just wandered about because I was too young to realize that there were puzzles I had to solve.

Look at gaming stores...especially ones that carry older pc games and older gaming systems...if you live in a big city, it shouldn't be hard to find. you can also get it really cheaply off the internet.

My husband is a huge Myst fan (he's been quoted intheir strategy guides) and he got me into the game. I've only ever played the first one, but oh, it was lovely.

I believe they still sell the Anniversary edition...first three MYST games in DVD format so you don't have to keep switching disks for Riven and Exile. lol Try Best Buy...

you will come up with like over 500 hits,
likely you will only find ten that will help, as it is google.
but one is alll you will need
