we have a fun game amongst my friends, when we go out to eat we put all our phones on the table face down the first one to check has to pay the tip or if we are being mean the whole bill

I seem to be a rare breed who can intelligently converse with the Fiance Unit and text/play games at the same time while we're out.
It's funny cause I hear people the next table over passive-aggressively complaining about "Damn teenagers texting at the table and being rude!" As though it's them I'm hosting/supposed to be talking to.
If anything, I think the passive-aggressive judges are far more rude than I am while multi-tasking.

A wonderful piece! I kinda want to set this as certain people's backgrounds on their phone as a constant reminder. You're not supposed to read a book at the table, you should not be fiddling with your phone! It's just plain rude! If an important message or call comes in, EXCUSE YOURSELF!

I hate this also. I was at a restaurant the other day and noticed it was quite quiet considering how many people were there. I looked around and noticed that litterally EVERYONE, parents and children alike, were looking down at their phones doing whatever.
