Description
The image is based on a previously posted sketch from the eighties of the last century, and it reveals the technical aspects of the panel. When not in use, the panel is stowed in a compartment in the deck to prevent damage to the control interface. This image reveals the actual control panel and its four buttons and activation/deactivation status LEDs. All of this artwork, and much more will eventually make up the content of the Outland Industries Arcos MK I Technical Manual.

‘’Come on, I’ll show you around.’’ She kissed him and then turned in a very graceful way and walked with purpose towards where the ramp would normally occupy had it been deployed, and reaching a point under the hull, spoke out loud, using a pre-agreed security phrase to make the panel that permitted ramp deployment to drop down from the hull above her. ‘’Upon a cliff edge.’’ The non-sentient section of the ship’s logic system on board the ship woke up and began switching into active mode systems that had been suspended or put into low-power mode, and there was a metallic clank-clanking as a series of retaining bolts withdrew from the ramp above her and pressure equalization vents briefly outgassed before the ramp smoothy ground down with a rich mechanical whirring to come to rest on the ground.

She turned back to Rafe who had been observing this, and although he wasn’t as familiar with ships as she clearly was, understood her actions. She gestured to him to follow her. ‘’Come on, I said. I’m not going to bite.’ She smirked. ‘’At least, not yet.’’ Rafe grinned. He walked forward and met her at the base of the ramp. She turned to him and then taking his hand led him up it, easily climbing it and seconds later they were standing in the ramp bay, what was known as the avenue. Vega made sure that he was clear of the ramp before she pulled the panel up from out of the deck next to the ramp and used it to bring the ramp back up again and locked it in place. As it locked into place, they dived at each other, mouths joined, their respective hands a frenzy of activity and their outer layers of clothing were quickly discarded. ‘’Not here!’’ She managed to gasp out as Rafe worked at her neck, nipping, biting, and sucking at it and her legs almost fell out from under her. ‘’Next deck up –‘’
