Very nice composition and designs. Armours, weapons, drows... I especially loved the one with the bumerang. He is really handsome () with a really nice (skin showing
) armour and he has very cool weapons (bumerang for God's sake!). Eye-candy. (You decide which I am refering to; the whole picture or the drow.
)

It is awesome! Why didn't it get hundreds of comments? They are lovely evil! I just love the composition, the background, the details of their clothes and equipment, the tatoos. The way the priestess commands also speaks of their ways. Very comprehensive description of the characters!

Ah, I don't mind not getting lots of comments. I'm usually so busy its hard to reply to them in a timely manner, as witnessed by the lateness of this reply! Of course comments are nice to get, but I don't worry about it too much. Quality over quantity!

Now I see why your artworks are so good. Besides talented you are also wise and smart.
My best wishes for your future challenges.

Excellent technique on the background, I would love to know more about your technique and what kind of brushes you use.

Hi,
I use a selection of brushes I have made, in Painter - mostly quite simple stuff, a lot of very blendy, squishy brushes with low resat and high blend. A some bristly brushes for a nice trad feel, a couple of blenders, one smooth, one more grainy.
Painter lets you have brushes pick up paper texture, and I make use of that for the backgrounds especially - foreground elements tend to be less mechanically textured, since you need the detail and more personal rendering. That said, I alway smake my own textures with traditional media - I find digitally created ones are very hard to make convincingly.
I hope that helps answer your question a little, and thanks!

Heh heh! Gotta love those drow. I was especially pleased to be asked to include a drow boomerang in this one.

Thanks - anatomy is something I really need to put work into, as it doesn't come easily to me (does it to anyone?) so its nice to hear its working ocassionally!
