You can add all kind of Gadgets from the Live Gallery and that stuff.
The sidebar haves all orginal icons (Of course, because this is the real one lol)
Important: Extract all the files in the rar-file with winrar before installing!
Readme is included for help and info.

UPDATE:
How to make the sidebar like in Windows 7!
1. Drag the gadget(s) out of the sidebar somewhere in your desktop.
2. Right click on the sidebar (The dark shadow blurred thing) and click 'Close sidebar' (Or something like that)
The sidebar will minimize now, but it stays running, and your gadgets will stay on your desktop.

The software is not made by me, I only put all the software together in a pack so you can use it on XP easily.

FAQ:
Q: A gadget does not work correctly, it stays blank or an other error occures, can this be fixed?
A: This could be because the gadget is scripted to work on Windows Vista/7, and those scripts won't work on XP.
This cannot be fixed.
But gadgets like clock, weather, calender, and stuff like that should work normaly.
But gadgets like CPU use may need a Windows Vista/7 system, because those scripts are written for Vista/7.
But most gadgets should work!
Q: The sidebar will not start, an error occures when I try to start the sidebar
A: It depends on what kind of error you get, but it could be because you have not installed the newest .NET Framework.
I recommend .NET Framework 3.5 or higher. It can be downloaded from Microsoft.

It's a great sidebar but on my XP virtual desktop it refuse to autoload on start up or re-boot, even although I have set it to open on sidebar preferences and on XP msconfig.

The useful/important gadgets don't work like all of the app launchers and I means all of them trust me I've tried... this is the only real reason to have it without it it's just eye candy...

I wanted to say that the gadgets are awesome but the weather and the currency gadgets are not working and the dont show the weather and the currency.

You have made me a happy guy. Just had to downgrade back to XP, and sorely missed my ever useful gadgets. Did a random search, and found this. Initial thoughts are positive, though getting rid of the sidebar removes the docking features. My desktop is dark enough that I don't really care however, but I thought you might want to know. I thank you for this nifty little program, it's removed my last regrets on having to downgrade.

I rlly don't know, I think there are some skins somewhere to find on Google.
But I dont know if it works on this XP version of the sidebar, but you can give it a try

Great stuff you guys got here! Its exactly what I need and my greatest commendations to all of you who have developed and attempted to spread this application.
Everything else is working fine, however, I am also having some problems with some of the gadgets, like the CPU Meter which only shows a small white rectangle, the iWeather gadget graphics not showing properly, as well as the BBC Radio not showing the songs being played in the "Now" and "Next" field...
May I know if there are (or already have been) any fixes regarding these matters?

It could be possible that the scripts in the gadget needs some stuff from Vista, wich XP not has.

Very nice. I can use it on one PC no problems, but on my other one, whenever I use the CPU gauges the have a pink box around them. It does it to the weather gadget too, but only after I update the zip. Both computers are running XP Pro SP3, and both are updated the same with IE8, and all the current .NET. They are basically the same set up down to the chips, and graphics cards. Any idea why one has the pink boxes?

I finally figured it out. I need to update my graphics card on my one machine. ***NOTE*** To all who have their anti-virus programs flag this as a virus please note that it is registering a false positive. The "trojans" that it finds is because certain gadgets (like weather) need to access the web to get current info, so your anti-virus program thinks it is a threat. Just ignore it.
