Thought I'd have some fun with Paras and Parasect and do some paint overs of Ken Sugimoris' original artwork
1: Normal Kanto.
2: After the Mushroom kills them and they become bug/Ghost types.
3: Living in symbiosis with the mushroom instead of slowly being killed by them.
4: Cured of the mushroom.
5: if they had never had been introduced to the mushrooms.
6: If they lived in symbiosis with a plant

Makes sense. Honestly, for all their talk of "evolution" and all the hundreds of Pokemon types out there, the Pokemon world has a surprising lack of diversity.

Then again, it's already nearly (but not quite) impossible to catch 'em all with the nine hundred species or so that already exist, plus Alolan Formes and Mega Evolutions.

I...I never realized Parasect's eyes were different because it was dead. I always just sort of assumed the mushrooms were part of it. This Pokemon is going to make me very sad now.Β Β
also the cured paras & parasect are creepy and adorable at the same time

Regarding the 'primal' version: I think that Paras and Parasect are based on the Coconut Crab, so I don't think that they'd have wings in any version of reality.
That said, a nice little thought experiment!
