Description

Sorry for posting this same description from another one of my posts today. I felt it was important to stress for today. Skip to the TLDR part if you read it already or just want the description for this piece.

To get right to the point and not waste y'alls time, I have for the longest time (since a child) been keeping myself (or rather my work) hostage and refusing to share any non-abstract/design work out of fear of what people might think of me. Problem is, this has always been my dream and the feeling of pointlessness for doing work that was never getting shared has been building inside all these years. This last New Years, I decided I had enough and made myself a promise that I will share by the end of my college winter break and begin aligning my life with the life that fulfills me! Although it isn't going to be easy for a while, I have made huge steps in easing my way to that conclusion and I couldn't be more proud of my progress.

So long story short (and big thanks if you read this far in!), today is the day I post the other work I do (besides abstract). I know you may already be able to guess by simply looking at my favorites, I like to digitally draw dragons and anthros quite a bit. Till now, I haven't shown many people due to them being quite dear to my heart (and stigma that may surround the subject matter). I'm changing that now, and I plan to continue sharing on into the future.

TLDR: This character is Reece and he is actually an original character of mine that I plan on doing much more with. However, this piece itself is from a little ways back (2017 ) but I felt it was still good enough to share (especially cause this is the first time I drew this character so it will later be a good point of comparison). Style-wise, my process was much different back then than how it is now so you will likely see quite a big difference between this and my other work. Let me know if you think anything about this style should stick when comparing it with my other work. Also, check out my other work if you want! I really appreciate all y'alls interest and feedback!

Amazing character design. Anatomy is really good as well. It mixes a cartoony and realistic style whilst maintaining a cute appearance. Awesome job! <3

Thank you for your feedback! I really enjoy a nice blend of reality and cartoon! They can be very complementary.

I agree. It really shows here!
The belly button was a nice touch lol. A lot of people forget that reptiles technically have them.

Again, an engaging character, one that you want to know more about just from what you have here. Does he phase shift or teleport? Does he do it for fun or to surprise people? The glint of the eye, and turn of the mouth makes him look playful, and while confident, there is a hint of concern, as if seeking approval. Not sure if it's the tail between the legs, or something that makes him look like he has his back against a wall, or something else.

If you want to, you might consider including a little description of the character itself, like what he's doing, or perhaps the reason behind his pose or apparent action. Just an idea, and not everyone does that.

Thx AbNom! Love to hear your feedback! The character is very much a timid or rather wary type (relating to the origin of his cybernetic parts). I have more to tell but he has undergone a lot of changes since this piece and so I'm holding out a bit for future designs. I love your idea of giving more detail and backstory in the description! I will definitely keep that in mind for future posts (this one was much too big anyways ). Thanks yet again for your kind words and feedback!
