(apologies if this looks a bit stiff I'm still learning how to draw these two!!)Was working on some drawings of Off the Hook from Splatoon 2 but it felt kind of sacrilegious to not draw some Squid Sisters stuff first, so I dug through my old drafts & finished this comic based on the first game
also if Splatoon 2 keeps adding the original stages I hope they leave out Ancho-V Games I was not very good at that map haha

This wouldn't have been inspired by that 3D-animated episode of Adventure Time where Finn and Jake are making their own animation with a program on BMO, and Finn remarks:
"Man, I don't have the patience for this animation biz! Whoever does this must have no life whatsoev- *hits self* OW! Why did I... do that..?"

Ah, it's been so long since I drew this comic that I honestly can't remember if I came up with the joke or based it on something else, sorry
I can definitely see the resemblance, though! That's one of my favorite Adventure Time episodes so it's possible I was inspired by it
