Doing less detailed stuff is fun, but it doesn't have that striking quality like detail can have - and you have the talent! Whatever you do will be great, detail or not.

The texture in the mud is amazing. The rocks are amazing. Everything is wonderful!! I am feeling really inspired to paint something right now!

Have you considered retouching digitally your images? I do it if the photo or the scan (my scanner makes all the colours look greyish) are not truthfull to my original work. Some people consider is cheating but I don't see it that way, if you worked a lot to achive something, why let a machine "ruin it"?

Amazing. Just a beautiful painting. I honestly thought the orange effect was pretty cool - it's dramatic and interesting, and much braver than I would have been. I'd love to see this one in real life, though. Astounding deatil inthose stones. That in itself would have driven me nuts. Well, more nuts anyway.
