Description Watercolour on Arches 300lb

This is another old piece. I have been so busy I havent been able to paint much and it is killing me, hopefully now that the outdoor show season is about over I can get back to work, meanwhile I will dig up some old stuff to submit so I can feel like I am really a part of DA again.

Wonderful lighting. I also love the blend of warm to cool from the light source to the snow. I find it interesting that I can't tell what the light source is - moon, headlights, porch, flashlight? - but it's bright and well-framed. Not sure if you worked from a photograph or not, but the composition, and the way you've used contrast and warmth is really intriguing.

This is gorgeous, and I now wish I lived in a little cottage right outside that scene, so I could look out on it every night. The colors are just gorgeous, you've somehow made a winter scene warm and inviting. Makes the viewer want to suit up and join the winter wonderland outside. Awesome stuff, you rock. Cheers
