I know it has been a while since i submited anything. This took me SO much longer than I thought it would. I have been really working at painting different things and stretching my artistic abilities. I had a lot of fun painting this but I have to tell you all it really tried my patience. Meanwhile I hope you enjoy this all comments and criticisms would be appreciated for me to grow

They certainly are! I have 4 parrots of my own so that'll show you how much I like them.

I do have the WIPs posted here on DA. It isn't finished yet. I'm hoping to have it done by January....Don't know though. I've been working on it since March, so it is slow work.

This one is pretty. I think that your darks need to be even darker for more impact. Illustratively it is great.

I'm thinking watercolour might be different from the way I do it, since I contantly mix white back into colours, and as I understand it you can't really do that.. so yeasssh.. I'd seriously think about doing a monocrome sketch first, as getting the right tones is really the key to good portrait in my opinion
