Part 24: Favourite Grass Type
Dedicated to Miyuki the Roserade from my Platinum playthrough a year ago. I had her since she was a Budew and was not sure on whether to keep her all the way to the Elite Four. However, she really proved she had what it takes and managed to perform amazingly well, got a few wins in the Battle Frontier even. She had Giga Drain, Sludge Bomb, Petal Dance and Toxic. To be honest, before playing Platinum, I didn't really have a favourite grass type, so I'm really glad that I got a liking towards the species. As for the nickname, it was a reference to one of the undead from Kamen Rider Blade (And this was before I found out it's Orchid undead and not Rose... so uh....)
So, about the illustration, I wanted a more sinister vibe so added vines with thorns. Was also following a colouring experiment for this where you colour without actually looking at the colour values, quite interesting but admittedly wasn't following the experiment that strictly. Will like to try it again.
