a really intriguing character - with so many secrets hidden behind her eyes
so much delicateness and swiftness - thanks to such a large amount of detail you used
and her horns are simply a masterpiece

I like that it is not predictable... so many faerie images (not necessarily yours) can be samey and unimaginative. I find that ironic since fae are meant to be chaotic and mysterious, so it frustrates me when people put them into narrow archetypes.
mushrooms, dandelion clocks, horns, blue people, starry skies are all familiar to many faerie portraits - yet - I have not seen them used all at the same time!
The horns and hair depict a figure that is stormy and fierce, whilst the face has a sadness about it (maybee a hint of bitterness)

I am always cautious about using such familiar imagery when painting/drawing fae. I don't want to use it for the sake of doing so, but at the same time don't want to outright discard them completely. Both would be equally as pointless. If I feel something to be honestly relevant then I will use it. Thank you for your well thought out comment.

Absolutely stunning! The colors are matched together perfectly, it really adds to the mood of the picture. Besides that, I find that oil paint is the hardest medium to use. You're amazing ^_~

xD Ack! I read the description further to find that this was done with watercolor and white ink. That sounds even more difficult! D8 I can't praise you enough <3

Hehe, thank you. Colour is one of my favourite things to play around with, so I'm glad you think they work well together.

It's beautiful. I love her branch/horns and the white veins in her skin.
What sort of white ink do you use? I never seem to have much luck with the brands I've tried.

Thank you I use Daler Rowney FW acrylic inks. It's been the best one I'e tried so far for my purposes. The only issue I've had is that with certain nibs it tends to clog up pretty quickly. Others are no problem though.
