You know the thing is I totally understand why G-Fans hate Final Wars, the movie is a big crazy MESS and a lot of it definitely falls short for a 50th birthday bash, but I still find myself absolutely loving the crazy movie more and more, and THIS bugger is one of the big reasons.Β Kazuki Kitamura brings a delightfully manic energy to the role of the Xillian psycho kid, I mean this guy eats the scenery like it was coated in buffalo sauce.Β I love watching him and cosplayed as him one year for G-Fest, so I had to make sure and give him an early spot as the first Final Wars entry on the Honoring Series.Related content

His rage fits after each monster's defeat at the hands of Godzilla made the movie SO much more enjoyable. I LOVE his incredibly stupid "GIGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANN RISE!"
His over the top fighting was cool as well, I really liked his English dub voice, made him sound like a teenage maniac. Especially that laugh right before the alien ship starts to explode. As a kid, before I realized it was someone dubbing over the original actor's performance, I thought he would play a great Joker

HA nice I had a Japanese Joker vibe off of him as well XD Β But yeah, he's the treat of the film for me, other than the sheer fun of seeing all my favorite Showa monsters revived.

Something I'd like to bring up about Final Wars...
*Gigan (1st), Kamacuras, Kumonga, Ebirah, and Hedorah were all defeated by Godzilla with little to no effort*
Godzilla fanbase: "Well, this Godzilla is over powered, that doesn't mean any of these guys are weak, they just fought a to powerful Godzilla."
*Zilla is defeated by Godzilla with little to no effort*
Godzilla fanbase: "Oh, Zilla is a weak pathetic tuna-head pushover that could be beaten by ANY monster"

You are a brave human being XD Β No but seriously it is a lot of fun, I've never understood the snob element of the fanbase that makes it out that you're a dimwitted child if you just enjoy a crazy action trip like Final Wars.

At first I was not exactly the biggest fan of Godzilla: Final Wars, but this film has grown on me a lot in later years. This movie has a few things that I enjoyed about the film - including the insane amount of kaiju present in the movie (along with bringing back fan favorites like Anguirus and Gigan), bringing back the Gotengo, Captain Douglas Gordon [he's like as if Mike Haggar and Sgt. Slaughter performed the Fusion Dance], and finally - this guy. He's just so much fun to watch (and quotable).

Agreed on all counts. Β It was hard not to love the movie especially after getting to see Anguirus and Gigan again, but the deal sealer for me was meeting Don Frye who played Captain Gordon. Β He was just as charismatic and big man-bear cuddly in real life as you got the feeling he was in the movie under that tough bravado. Β I think a lot of G-Fans just need to take it for what it is, which is a flawed gem of fun that especially younger fans can get a kick out of (crap I would have LOVED it ten times more if I had seen it when I was 7).

While I would have preferred the older, bald Xilien to be the main bad guy, THIS guy definitely has a charm to him, and I do enjoy seeing him rage throughout Godzilla's victories. XD

Yeah I loved the old dude fer sure, but I seem to gravitate toward over the top insanity XDΒ Made it a lot more fun to cosplay as well, the people at Fest loved having me run up to them as this dude cackling my head off and calling them "stupid cows".
