Description
It seems whenever I add anything new to my kaiju figure collection it tends to come in bursts with long gaps, but September saw the release of the Anime Godzilla figures and this new guy, a variant of the regular Bandai Shin Godzilla figure they unfortunately decided to call "Climax Version", featuring the firing open mouth and a really nice looking translucent purple set of backplates. It actually came in a pretty awesome box as well, but short of them coming out with a Humanoid Tail Monster figure from the final shot I can safely say this finishes my Shin collection.

How the heck did you get this?? The eBay prices are high! I was hoping to acquire this in a G-Fest visit in the future, after I collect Godzilla suits and kaiju I don't have.

I made an ebay search alert for it and checked my emails until I found a Japanese seller that was offering it for a reasonable price. I've found in the past that while many of the American sellers who import it jack the prices WAY HIGH (and some Japanese sellers as well), typically there's a Japanese seller here and there who will sell the figures for more what they're worth, and I managed to get fortunate on this one.
