Wasn't initially interested in buying anymore of the Playmates figures (bought the 9 inch Kong because it actually looked pretty good), but we all need things to do while we're staying home so I thought for funsies I'd repaint the Playmates Final Wars Goji and paint it up in non-typical colors, something I like more, so a sea-foam green energy effect it is. As usual my phone's camera isn't really up to the task of showing the colors at their best (and I'm not the best at custom paints anyway), but this was fun, and he looks nice next to some of my other bigger figures. Ooooh man, this looks way better than the final release. I mean, sure custom will look great on the Playmates but I hate the looks on these toys, cheap plastic quality, screw holes and lacking articulations and even the feet have gaps. I'm fine with Bandai, SHMA and NECA as great figures and Kong figures only have the best MEZCO lines.

It is amazing how much a pain job really just changes the feel of a toy. I wish I had a real airbrush set to make it look even better but that's gonna be something for the future when I have the money to spare, getting the green glow effect is a lot harder with plain acrylic
