Another good and solid illustration. This is another one of those monsters I really liked. It's an absurd idea...but at least the monster design was easy to identify. I just hate current PR monsters now. It's so hard to tell what in the bleep they are suppose to be sometimes. Only new ones I ever cared for was the 5 Deadly Venoms from the very beginning of PR Jungle Fury.
Good colors and line work as always man. Turtle looks good too. Reminds me of Toka from Turtles a bit.

That's because half the time, they take the monster designs from Sentai without keeping the theme of the monsters. For example, Jungle Fury's based on Gekiranger, and everything on that show is themed around martial arts, not animals. So the Five Fingers are based on the Five Deadly Poisons, and most of the other monsters, at least the starter ones, are based as extensions of that style, the Poisons and that mantis in the first episode being the most obvious.

Sounds like you have the same annoyance with neo PR monsters that I feel about new generation Pokemon. I haven't watched the show in years but every time I see new merch with new Pokemon I just scratch my head and wonder what the frick they're supposed to be.

Nice, loved this guy back in the day, hard to believe a couple of stooges like Squat and Baboo created this surprisingly effective Kaijin XD. Excellent detail work on his hide and shell, brutal claws and teeth too.

Thanks, I just love his design overall, though I forgot that he spent some of the episode with a hook on one hand. I think I like this mode better, but it was a testament to how crazy some of the monsters got in that show.
