oh yeah it's called the kiryugoji, but wait people dislike it but for me it's look like Godzilla in real life. and to be honest I dislike Godzilla 2000 design why because it's green and it spike are purple.

I still think the design from the pic that was posted a couple of days ago makes this version of the big guy look like the bastard love child of Barney and Chomper from LBT (didn't know if you saw my reply to your tweet the other day about it)...
But the problem is will it still offer anything new to the table on a creative or artistic level or still shove the same formula down our throats like always? Not really holding out too much hope over here anymore - it still feels like they're letting themselves be boxed into a corner by everybody with this thing...

At the same time I'm a little bit surprised, I also predicted that the 2014 American Godzilla would have some similarity to the design of the 1998 American Godzilla. I guess it's paying tribute to history. Great Godzilla and great sketches!

I always thought about how he would be able to breathe under water if he had no gills, then I decided not to question godzilla's anatomy and never pictured him with gills. Now the poster has him with gills and I have to say I was surprised at first and didnt know what to think about it. But after a few seconds I thought "well it's not the worst thing they can do to godzilla's design and the gills could work" so I'm cool with the design

AWESOME!! I'm iffy on tha gills tho :[ I mean, I know they wanted to make a 'realistic' Godzilla, so giving him gills to breathe under water MIGHT make sense, but then I thought.... Whales LIVE under water and don't have gills.... but w/e, still can't wait for the movie :]

What Gareth meant with realism is the same way Toho portrayed Godzilla in the original 1954 film - as a symbol/metaphor for nuclear weapons, and the questions "What IF Godzilla was real? How DO we deal with such a thing?".

What I notice from the cutout poster is that it seems very painterly, like a lot of the concept art for the Marvel films. I think this is more of a touched up poster glamour shot for various things like cups or magazines or even toy packaging. I imagine the actual movie model in motion to be a lot more detailed and fearsome!
