You were kind of wondering which "reincarnation" of Godzilla this was. I was just stating a possible theory that this could be the one from the Showa era. Especially when you look at who one of the producers is. And while they don't always have a lot of creative input, they have been known to throw their own two cents in with some projects. A bit more common with video games than movies, but it isn't unheard of. Of course, there is the possibility I could be way off. So who knows really.

Possible, however I doubt it, only because Edwards is seemingly restarting the whole series, no ties or anything (though, if in his universe the movies had been released and now the real thing was happening, that could be funny)

Yeah, he's a lot less harsh-looking than I was expecting- in the eyes, but also just the profile of his head and the size of his teeth. He's almost friendly looking. I'm curious to see how they characterize him in the movie.
Middle shot is my favorite, btw, the anatomy feels just a smidge tigther there and his expression is great. Makes you wonder what's got him so alarmed!
