That entirely depends on the culture in question, some civilizations regarded their Kings as either intermediates between Gods and humans or simply gods among men such as the pharaohs of Egypt.
Determining what qualifies as God Like status and what doesn’t is pretty arbitrary especially in regards to fictional monsters. So claiming Godzilla is a God while other similarly sized/aged monsters like kong , mothra , Ghidorah and rodan aren’t is pretty odd

Ones more durable than the other and can shoot atomic fire but both of them make human beings look pitifully insignificant which is why they’re regarded as deities in the lore. They’re not actually mystical “Gods” they’re simply God-like when compared to ordinary creatures or people

This is a amazing piece of artwork that I seen so far! I'd already seen Legendary's Godzilla as well as Kong: Skull Island and I'm already waiting for their next film on Godzilla. So when these titans meet in the Godzilla Vs. Kong movie in 2020, it's going to be a blast watching these two fight once again!
