My 4th Portrait finished! I didn't have the heart to call it 'Blending and Hair Study', as the model is a beauty!Pic is about 7” by 10” on A4, using graphite pencils 2H – 8B
I've tried to look at blending and hair and try out a few new techniques, some of which have worked better than others! The hair still looks scratchy, so any hints and tips would be really welcome!
I also haven't got the features that well either, as the face doesn't look quite right 
I've tried fixing it as much as I can, but I think I rushed into shading before making sure I was happy with the proportions first! Lesson learned for next time! His gallery is pretty amazing stuff and I saw this photo and thought 'I have GOT to try and draw that!'
Hope you all like it, but it's really a practice piece, as I try and improve, so please give me some tips!

The hair is awesome, i love the contrast and highlights within it, as well the detail of the individual strands; and all on a size within A4; i don't know how you do it!
The eyes are gorgeous; well done with them! And yuor overall shading is really impressive! It looks exactly like the ref, well done!

You have done a good job here but there are a few things I would mention. Her bottom lip (as ffgoldensun mentioned) is too thin, it should be rounder on the bottom. Her eyes are slightly off in that you have placed the irises slightly too high, try to look at how much white should be showing below the irises. The hair is better than a lot of people manage but I think that maybe you have tried too much to show individual hair. Try more shaded areas and then add only the obvious highlights. The top part of her hair is excellent. This is not an easy pic to draw from and you've done a grand job. I hope you don't mind me saying this and I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Some of the flyaway hairs could be a lot better, but I have just got some new eraser pencils (today!) which I can sharpen and get a nice point on them

You did a generally nice job. I'll point out some things that I think are a bit off or some tips:
-her right eye and eyebrow is slightly lower down than you have drawn
-her right eye (eyeball bit) is in the photo slightly larger and to her right more
-her lower lip should be slightly rounder (on the bottom) and a tad less shading on the bottom
-you could add more shading to her face to define her features more and to add more depth eg. her left forehead, her right nose bridge, her neck
-i think her face is slightly narrower and longer than you have drawn
-her shirt could be darkened more, its near black in the photo
-you could add more shading to parts of her hair to provide greater contrast with her lighter hair

I'm glad it helped! I struggle with proportions too. I compare my drawings to my reference pictures and often they don't look quite the same. Hair is quite hard. Sometimes I feel like drawing in heaps of lines as hair has heaps of lines, but doing that will make it messy and it's also quite hard. I think maybe try, instead of having thick individual strands, have blocks of lighter and darker strands, but use a sharp pencil to draw in many strands within that. I don't know if that makes any sense xD
