The lasso tool is the circular tool that looks like a rope ;D
I think it's the third tool down in the tool box in photoshop.

Why did you use Katakana for Sakura's name and Hiragana for Ino's? o_O I'm taking Japanese now and I'm really confused as to why you'd do Sakura's name in Katakana when it's not a loanword and she's not Japanese American...
Sorry if this sounds Nazi-like... I'm just confused and want an explanation so I'll know how it works better. xD

Sometimes Katakana gets used to spell Japanese names and such out just because -- either for visual effect or to differentiate it or because the person just feels like it. Kind of like how someone might choose to write an English word in all capital letters or italicized.
Perhaps the artist preferred how サクラ looked compared to さくら? Or perhaps the artist simply wanted to make more of a contrast between Sakura and Ino?
