It depends on the style you draw with. For example, if you're good at anime, it shouldn't be that hard. But if you try something new, you may need experience, and that's when it gets hard. You need months, years of practice on that specific style. Once you get used to it, it shouldn't be hard for you. Art may get you frustrated, which causes you to sometimes think negatively. Like, "Oh my gosh this is awful! I suck at drawing! I hate this so much!!" Or something like that. Art is mostly just for entertainment, but if you wish to make it a career, go for it. So, not that hard, really. At least for me.

It's isn't really "hard", but the workload and the time that you spend is most nearly 3 times more than students in the other department. What make art frustrating is that there is no real goal. In math, you will eventually finish a problem and know for sure when you are ready to solve any problem. In law, you know exactly how much you need to study and where to read for information. In art... I have never once seen an artist that is satisfy with their work, there will always be something that you think you can do better. The fact that you notice every single mistakes that you make, better than anybody else, will eventually give you some OCD moment, which cause you to stay up all night trying to "fix" something that isn't really a problem.

Alright pick a pen up right now
Draw a full body picture
Compare it to a real life picture of a human and tell me if it looks the same
Now spend three years drawing daily and only get half way there unless you're super lucky and work extra hard then maybe if will look reality.
Draw is hard as fuck. You have to work and work until you hand learns to draw something more than a circle with lines.
It takes time, patients, and dedication. No one wakes up with a pen in their hand drawing perfect things. Also art supplies cost a lot.
Good traditional coloring markers cost 300 for 20-30
Then there is paper, pencils, inking pens, highlight pens, and even more
As for digital art tablets usually cost 50+ dollars for a good one.
Drawing is not just bam there is art.Β
