here is a scan of my first gouache attempt. I got so frustrated at one point i walked away and almost didnt come back. But I did.

Im a perfectionist and I work very tightly in eveything else I do. I like control and precision. For that reason I find this medium challenging but also liberating. I can let the paint do what it wants to sometimes and it forces me to realize "thats how it goes, dont fight it, accept it"

there's a lesson in there somewhere.

Anyway this is another (possibly minor) character from the same project. An alaskan husky. very early concept. No name yet, but hes about 1 yr old.
