This one was kind of special: she was an orphan that had been rescued as a fledgling, then released when she was thought ready to be on her own. Β She turned up in my yard and was clearly having a hard time, so I started giving her a mouse every morning to keep her going. Β In the process I got some really good pics....which I want to turn into paintings.

That was very lucky!!!!!We have a few Sparrow hawks flying over but we only see small birds and wood pigeons actually in our garden.Apart from ducks which do land on our roof

When I moved down here (south western New Mexico) one of the first things I added to my new house was a birdbath and some feeders. Β Tons of birds now! Β Lots of willing models who will work for birdseed!

Thank you! Β I wanted to give the piece a home-like feel...as though a cat sitting in the window of a starship was the most ordinary thing
